This is an outstanding example of the work of the Kurds of Khorasan province. It is quite light and pliable and suggests some age. The weft wrapping pattern is well balanced throughout the field and the use of pale yellow gives the gelim a lighter appearance than is usual from this area. It was purchased in Tehran in 1979.
